The vast majority of those are actually correct and simply not U.S. However, "Contacts Cleaner" is complaining about 760 "Bad Phone" entries. I was able to trim that to 1,539 fairly readily. In my case, I started with a little over 1,700 entries many of which pre-dated the iPhone and included issues from syncing with various "dumb" phones. It does not appear to deal well with databases which have a large number of entries from various countries. The support for formatting telephone numbers in country-specific formats is particularly weak. It might also be nice if "Contacts Cleaner" would allow you to set a persistent flag for contacts which have a particular problem for example by allowing one to assign a user-defined group to the problem contacts. "Contacts Cleaner" should do this directly. For example, if one is being told an email address appears in multiple entries, one can manually cut an paste the problem address into the Contacts application to see all of the entries. In most cases, it would be much more useful if it actually selected the set of relevant Contacts. If you double-click on a problem contact within "Contacts Cleaner", it will move to that Contact within the Contacts application. Fixing up the database is still very much a manual process where Contacts Cleaner could but doesn’t assist you as much as it could. Unfortunately, it is limited and somewhat handicapped in helping you correct the problems. While this contact manager is free, you have to spend $1.99 to automatically merge all your duplicate contacts."Contacts Cleaner" does an excellent job of identifying various anomalies in the entries in your contacts database. It also allows you to: Back up your entire address book to keep all your contacts safe. Whether it’s instantly catching all duplicate contacts or eliminating multiple junk cards at once, it does a reliable job. It also supports iOS 8 or later, allowing you to manage your contacts even on older iPhone and iPad models.Ĭontact Cleanup is another contact manager that I find fit for the task. In addition to allowing you to get rid of unnecessary people, backup and even restore your address book. It is a very simple contact manager application that allows you to easily detect duplicate contacts. The applications I have tried and found quite reliable are as follows: Third-Party Contact Manager Apps to Merge and Remove Duplicate Contacts for iPhone and iPadįortunately, the App Store has loads of contact manager apps that can help you find and delete duplicate contacts on your iPhone or iPad.
